PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform smooth driving control of a vehicle as the vehicle receives road information including marker-specific absolute position information and vehicle control information related to driving control of the vehicle. SOLUTION: An automatic control system is provided with markers 11 disposed at specified intervals on a road for a vehicle to run and having road information representing the road situation including absolute position information, a vehicle- mounted antenna 12 attached to the vehicle, and an information processing device 13 for controlling electromagnetic wave reception and transmission through the vehicle- mounted antenna 12. The vehicle-mounted antenna 12 transmits at least electromagnetic waves for data communication out of the electromagnetic waves for power transmission and data communication. When the marker 11 enters the range of electromagnetic waves of the vehicle-mounted antenna 12, the marker 11 receives power from the electromagnetic waves transmitted from the vehicle-mounted antenna 12, becomes operable, and transmits the road information by means of the electromagnetic waves for data communication. The information processing device 13 receives the road information from the data communication electromagnetic waves received with the vehicle- mounted antenna 12 and forwards the information to a vehicle control device for controlling the driving of the vehicle. |
