PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively and rapidly separate even fine sludge with a simple construction and also to extremely reduce worn parts to make maintenance simple. SOLUTION: A separator for sludge contained in water is provided with a separation tank 4 into which liquid is fed, a nonmagnetic plate 5 arranged in the separation tank 4 and for moving sludge S on the surface thereof, and a magnetic conveyor 6 for attracting the sludge S onto the surface of the nonmagnetic plate 5 by magnetic attracting force to move it in the discharge direction. The nonmagnetic plate 5 is provided with an attracting part 5A for attracting sludge S contained in liquid, an inclined part 5B for transferring the attracted sludge S to outside liquid, and a falling part 5C for making the sludge S to fall from the head of the nonmagnetic plate 5. The sludge S is attracted on the upper surface of the attracting part 5A of the nonmagnetic plate 5 by the magnetic conveyor 6 and is transferred to the falling part 5C from the inclined part 5B and is separated from the nonmagnetic plate 5 at the head falling part 5C. |
