APPLICATION STARTER SYSTEM BASED ON INPUT DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system which automatically decides the type of input data and starts an appropriate application. SOLUTION: When a power switch 31 provided on a liquid crystal touch panel is turned on, a character string input window 30, keyboard display 32 and application start icons 33 are shown. A user can start an application he wants to use by touching the icon of a desired application of the icons 33. Also, when a sum, a data, a postal code and a telephone number are inputted to a character string window 30 by touching a key of the display 32, petty cash book, schedule, telephone directory and address book applications respectively are automatically started. When a character string except the above types is inputted, a memo paper application is automatically is started.
