摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refractory material for an inside coating of which constitution of particle part of <=1mm becoming a binding part of the refractory construction, consisting of 72-100% alumina-based material and 0-28% magnesia- based material by using a magnesia-alumina-based material, and to provide an induction furnace having a structure constructed by the above material. SOLUTION: This amorphous refractory material for an induction furnace comprises a magnesia-based material and an alumina-based material both as indispensable components, of which fine particle part of <=1mm is constituted at a ratio of the magnesia-based part to the alumina-based part as (0-28%):(72-100%). The total blending ratio is made as 20-80wt.% magnesia-based material and 20-80wt.% alumina-based material, the total of the both components is >=90wt.% and the content of the component of MGO+Al2 O3 is >=85wt.% and as necessary for the refractory a sintering assistant is added. A crack generation and also a groove like abnormal damage to the inside coating material itself is widely improved, and the furnace can be used by utilizing the characteristics of the refractory material and a remarkable improvement in durable life thereof is obtained.
