PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve securement of safety of a passenger by a method wherein when a shock is exerted on one side of the front part of a car body, gas is supplied only to an air bag mounted on a seat on one side for inflation and when a shock is exerted on the front, gas is supplied to both air bags mounted on a driver's seat and a front passenger seat for inflation. SOLUTION: A shock sensing and gas feed control device 3 feeds gas to only to an air bag 1a or 1b mounted on a seat one side for inflation when a shock is exerted on one side of the right and the left of the front of a car body. Further, when a shock is exerted on the front of the front part of the car body, gas is supplied from a gas tank 2 to both the air bags 1a and 1b mounted on a driver's seat and a front passenger seat for inflation. A sensing mechanism 3a classified by a valve in a shock spot effects different operation according to on which of the left side and the right side of the front of a car body and a front a shock is exerted. This constitution concentrates supply of gas only to an air bag for a seal on the side on which a shock is applied and improves securement of safety of occupants. |
