MANUFACTURE OF INK JET RECORDING HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ink jet recording head in which even an insert having intricate shape can be manufactured easily while dealing with modification easily. SOLUTION: As shown at (A), a metal substrate 3 is disposed oppositely to an electric discharge machining electrode 2 and the contour of an ink channel is defined by micro contour electric discharge machining. Consequently, inverted shape of the ink channel is made in the metal substrate 3 as shown at (B). The metal substrate 3 is employed, as it is, as an insert 1 or it is shaped to be assembled. The insert 1 is built in a molding die and a nozzle plate is produced through resin molding.
