PURPOSE:To obtain a focused photograph without necessitating a troublesome operation irrespective of an attitude of a camera by detecting the attitude information of the camera and displaying an area in a photographing screen being suitable for its information, as a distance measuring position. CONSTITUTION:Distance measurement information A1-A3 which has brought three areas in a photographing screen to range finding by range finding circuits 101-103 is inputted to a control circuit 105 of a microcomputer, etc. On the other hand, attitude information as to whether an attitude of a camera is lateral or longitudinal is detected by an attitude detecting switch SWC, and inputted to the control circuit 105. The control circuit 105 decides whether the attitude information which is inputted is a lateral position or a longitudinal position, and in case of the lateral position, the lens driving quantity is calculated, based on the range finding information A2 from the range finding circuit 102, and a photographic lens is moved to a focused position through a lens driving circuit 110. Also, an indicator 108 is lighted through a display driving circuit 106, and a range finding position in this case is informed to a photographer by a superimposed display. |
