PURPOSE:To obtain a sharp developed image having no unevenness at all times by moving the surface of a toner carrier roller and the surface of an electrostatic latent image holder in the same direction and making the moving speed of the toner carrier roller surface faster than the moving speed of the electrostatic latent image holder surface. CONSTITUTION:A developing roller 5 is constituted by providing an elastic material layer 12 and a conductor layer 13 in order on the outer periphery of a metallic shaft 11 and rotates counter-clockwise. The elastic material layer 12 is made of rubber sponge and the conductor layer 13 is made of a resin layer wherein conductive carbon particles are dispersed. The surface of this toner carrier roller 5 and the surface 18 of the electrostatic latent image holder move in the same direction and the moving speed of the toner carrier roller surface is set faster than the moving speed of the electrostatic latent image holder surface. If there is a speed difference between the toner carrier roller surface and electrostatic latent image holder surface, the both are rubbed against each other at a development position, so the irregularity of the toner layer does not appear in an image directly and an irregular image sticking on the latent image carrier temporarily is uniformed by a following toner layer. Consequently, a sharp image having no irregularity is obtained. |
