PURPOSE:To prevent improper use due to incorrect installation etc., by the arrangement such that a voltage detecting circuit detects voltage between electrodes of a storage battery to enable the operation of an air purifier through an arithmetic circuit only when a filter with a storage battery is correctly fixed to the main body of the air purifier. CONSTITUTION:A thin-plate-like storage battery 2 is integrally provided at a part of a filter body 1a constituting a dust collecting section of a filter 1. When said filter 1 is correctly fixed in the main body of an air purifier, one or more pairs of electrodes contacting electrodes A, B of the battery 2, a voltage detecting circuit 3 to detect voltage of the battery 2 through these electrodes, an arithmetic circuit 4 which is connected to the circuit 3 and actuates the air purifier and an operation circuit 5 to send operation signals of the air purifier to the circuit 4 are provided, whereby only when the circuit 3 detects voltage higher than a predetermined value, the air purifier is actuated on receipt of signals from the circuit 5. As a result, lowering of performance or improper use due to improper installation of the filter can be prevented. |
