摘要 PURPOSE:To increase a transfer rate by directing sub-lattice magnetization in a 3rd thin magnetic film to a prescribed direction and unifying the sub-lattice magnetization of a 2nd thin magnetic film with the sub-lattice magnetization direction of the 3rd thin magnetic film at a 1st temp. or below in the cooling process from 1st and 2nd heating states. CONSTITUTION:The thin magnetic films 1-3 are successively magnetically coupled and laminated on a light transmittable substrate of a thermomagnetic recording medium 10. This medium 10 is subjected to selective modulation to the 1st heating state by the temp. T1 which is approximately above the Curie temp. TC1 of the thin magnetic film 1 and holds the direction of the sub-lattice magnetization of the transition metal of the thin film 2 at the prescribed direction under the impression of the external magnetic field in the direction approximately perpendicular to the film body and the 2nd heating state by the temp. T2 which is above the temp. TC1 and at which the direction of the sub-lattice magnetization of the transition metal of the thin film 2 can be inverted to the direction reverse from the 1st heating state. The sub-lattice magnetization in the thin film 3 is directed to a positive direction and the sub-lattice magnetization of the thin film 2 is unified with the same direction as the direction of the sub-lattice magnetization of the thin film 3 in the cooling stage from these heating states.
