The invention concerns a kit comprising several components for a chain link adaptable to several different uses (54) and consisting of two link plates (54, 55). The kit consists of the following elements: separating elements (46) with border parts (3) and intermediate floors (47), which can be attached to two adjoining separating elements (46) using fastening elements that at least partly grasp one of the retaining sections (14) of the separating elements (46). The kit may also include braces (56, 57) incorporating a retaining section to which the separating elements (46) can be attached in a non-permanent manner.
