<p>Prodn. of chipboard panels or bodies, by adding a foamable plastic in solution treated with a propellant, to the wood chips and foaming the plastic in the preform so produced during the pressing process, with the improvement that a known aminoplast, pref. a urea resin, is used as the foamable plastic, in an amount of 50-25 wt.% with the addition of 50-75% dry wood chips, the pre-form being pressed with the addition of heat, and the compression of the aminoplast foam with the woodchips dispersed taking place over the whole cross section, at a velocity adapted to the foaming and hardening processes.</p> |
