Quantifying cleaning, disinfection or sterilisation of articles

New method for quantitatively evaluating the cleaning, disinfection and/or sterilisation of articles (A) for use in medicinal, chemical and/or biological applications comprises: (i) contaminating a test article, comprising (A) or a test piece, by applying a photometrically active, fluorescent, chemiluminescent or bioluminescent testing agent (I); (ii) cleaning, disinfecting and/or sterilising the test article, and (iii) determining the amount of (I) remaining on the test article by photometric, fluorimetric, chemoluminescent or bioluminometric analysis.
