<p>1284302 Pipe couplings POLYMETRON COMP Ltd 14 Oct 1969 [21 March 1969] 50331/69 Heading F2G An apparatus for changing the connection of tubes to peristaltic pumps comprises a coupling member 12 arranged to receive pump tubes and a clamp 21 &c. for pressing the member 12 against a support 11. The member 12 is fitted with nipples 13 for receiving the pump tubes which nipples project beyond the member on the side facing the support 11 and engage in apertures 16 in the support, the seal between each nipple and the support being maintained by sealing rings (14), Fig. 2 (not shown), partly sunk into recesses around the nipples in the member 12. The member 12 is pressed against the support 11 by a clamping stirrup 21 fitted with bolts 22 to hold it longitudinally displaceable in the support 11 and by pins 23 which fit into notches in the member 12 as the clamp is tightened by a screw 24. A gasket 17 between the support 11 and a cover-plate 18 to which pump lines (not shown) are connected, may be fitted with cross-channels to enable the separate pump lines to be combined. The coupling member 12 with its tubes can be removed from the support 11 by release of the clamp 21 &c., and replaced by another coupling member fitted with another set of tubes.</p> |
