A self braking reduction gear assembly which utilises two planetary gear systems (7, 8) each of which in turn meshes with a dedicated gear (2, 9), respectively. Input shaft (3) rotation directly rotates the first planetary gear system (7) and the rotation of the individual gears (7) thereof cause a corresponding rotation of the individual gears (8) of the second planetary gear system (8). For self braking the dedicated gears (2, 9) preferably have the same pitch circles but different teeth numbers. |
