PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject electrode that has a high selectivity for chloride ion and allows an accurate measurement of biological fluids or the like, by using a specified neutral carrier-type ligand in a sensitive membrane. SOLUTION: This anion-selective electrode uses an anion-selective sensitive membrane containing at least one compound having at least one organic group expressed by the formula (X1, X2 and Z1 are each 5A- or 6A-group atom; R1 and R2 are each divalent organic group) in its molecule as a sensitive material such as 2,7-di-tert-butyl-9,9-dimethyl-4,5-bis(N'-butylthioureylene)-xanthine. This allows to enhance the selectivity of the electrode. |
