PURPOSE:To obtain a beverage composition mitigated in the unique bitter taste of vitamin B1 derivative(s) in order to take it without pain. CONSTITUTION:This beverage composition is obtained by adding a herb drug extract having bitter taste to a beverage composition containing vitamin B1 derivative(s) such as fursultiamine. The vitamin B1 derivative(s) is e.g. asymmetric disulfide-type B1 derivative(s), symmetric disulfide B1 derivative(s), S-acyl type B1 derivative(s); while the herb drug extract is e.g. that from Epimedium grandiflorum, Astragalus mongholicus, Polygonati rhizome, Lycii fructus, Rehmanniae radix, Angelica acutiloba, bark of Eucommia ulmoides, carrot. The beverage composition contains 0.001-0.5wt.% of the vitamin B1 derivative and 0.001-10wt.% of the heab drug extract with bitter taste and the weight ratio of the latter/the former is 1-2000 in terms of the original herb drug. |
