<p>An energy concentration device, which comprises a main collector dish (MR), a supplementary means (SR) and a receiver (P). Radiant energy, such as solar energy is reflected from the main collector (MR) to a zone on the supplementary reflector (SR) which is then focused to the reveiver (P). This enables the receiver (P) to be provided at a fixed position, such as on the ground or at a distant location, enabling easy access and reduced costs in maintenance, etc. of a solar energy absorber, the elimination of flexible or rotary joints, etc. The main collector (MR) can be constructed of a plurality of flat or curved reflector panels, also reducing the costs of the collector (MR). A modified form is to eliminate the supplementary reflector (SR) and position the receiver (P) in its place.</p> |
