A swivel arm on the lower side of a backrest is connected to a base frame of a vehicle seat arrangement by a pair of connecting elements. A swivel connection between the connecting elements is also connected to the lower rear side of a seat cushion in such a way that an inclined movement of the backrest brings about a pivoting movement of the seat cushion. The lower side of the seat cushion is provided with a cam section which has a lower oblique cam surface with which contact is made by means of rollers which are arranged on the base frame of the vehicle seat in such a way that the seat cushion moves gently on the rollers in accordance with the inclined movement of the backrest. The seat is pretensioned in order to resume an upright position of the backrest and the rearmost position of the seat cushion when it is not in use.
