The inner recess of the dowel part matches the outer contour of the expansion screw (1), whose rotation expands the dowel part. The expansion screw is non-rotatably coupled to an actuating element (17) for the rotation of the screw. Pref. the actuating element is coupled to the expansion screw stem (6). It may be coupled to the head (2) of the screw and may be in the form of a lever, or a wheel. Typically the dowel part is a plate with recesses for the passage of the actuating element. In the non-expansion position the actuating elements may protrude away from the dowel plate.
