Fire barrier flap for closing ventilation pipe against fire

The fire barrier flap (4) pivots on at least one hinge strip (8.1,8.2) and has at least one insulating layer enclosed on all sides by a metal casing. The flap is pivoted by a drive mechanism (17) in the form of an electric motor, lifting magnet or pneumatically or hydraulically operated cylinder. The drive mechanism is connected to a sensor, especially a fire or smoke detector. The motor's rotary shaft is connected by a rotary lever to a guide finger (14) which slides along a slot-guide fixed onto the flap.
