The unit includes at least one measuring element (1), which is connected to an evaluation unit (11). The measuring element has at least two electric leads (4,5), which conduct current and are isolated from each other. The measuring element at the evaluation unit under the effect of force is elastically deformable in such a manner, that the leads in the force reacting region, contact each other, to deliver a corresponding signal to the evaluation unit. The leads are surrounded by an insulating medium, at least one of the leads is elastically deformable. At least one of the leads is designed in strip form. Both the leads are arranged in the reception chamber of the measuring element.
