SUBSTANCE: method involves fixing blood smears over damp of 40% formaldehyde solution and dying them with silver nitrate solution at 56-58 C during 50-60 min, washing with distilled water, holding in 5% sodium thiosulfate solution during 4-6 min, counting the serotonin- containing granules number in 100 blood platelets.
