FIELD: agriculture; production of forage and fodder. SUBSTANCE: grain for forage is subjected to preservation treatment with mixed solutions of compounds containing two carbon atoms, namely: acetaldehyde, ethanol and acetic acid at the following ratio, mas.%: acetaldehyde, 55.0-65.0; ethanol, 20.0-30.0; acetic acid, 5.0-10.0. Mixture is prepared directly before use and is spray-injected into bags or tanks containing grain in the amount of 0.5-0.7 wt.-%. Safety of proteins, carbohydrates and lipides in thus-prepared grain is kept for long time, up to one year. Processes of decay, germination and respiration of grain may be stopped.
