<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jet device of an ink jet printer having a membrane constituted of many layers having coefficients of thermal expansion different from each other. SOLUTION: A jet device of an ink jet printer is constituted of a heater part formed from a plurality of resistor layers 703, a plurality of electrodes 704, 704' supplying electrical energy, a heater part 705 generating heat by electrical energy and a heating chamber barrier 712, a plurality of heating chambers 713 being spaces containing a medium thermally expanded by the transfer heat from the heater part, a membrane layer 714 formed of many layers mutually different in the coefficient of thermal expansion, an ink chamber 707 being the space formed by the membrane layer 714 and an ink barrier 709, a nozzle plate 711 having an opening part 710 for jetting ink to a medium and a power supply means 715 for supplying electrical energy. By this constitution, the buckling operation generated by thermal conversion at a time of the operation of the membrane layer 714 in a vertical direction is made rapid to increase a driving speed.</p> |
