PRODUCTION OF SHAPED SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To coat a large manuscript with a polyvinyl alcohol soln. in uniform and sufficient thickness without generating streaks. SOLUTION: A polyvinyl alcohol soln. 11 is allowed to flow to the surface of a manuscript 10 and stroked to be spread by moving a screw rod 50 obtained by forming a meter fine mesh screw on the peripheral surface of a round rod of a polyacetal resin and leveled to form a templating layer [drawing (a)]. A soft unsaturated polyester resin is allowed to flow to the surface of the templating layer 11 to form an intercoat layer 12 [drawing (b)] by a film method and this intercoat layer 12 is covered with the gauze 17 provided in a frame 16 under tension and, further, a soft unsaturated polyester resin 18 is allowed to flow to the surface of this gauze to form a lining layer 18 [drawing (c)].
