An oil-based article absorbs oil-based fluid on a surface such as water. The article is made of a cloth or a cloth and a flotation material. Preferably, the cloth has a napped surface. The cloth inhibits water absorption to inhibit water from contacting the flotation material. Thus, the flotation material absorbs oil-based fluid to increase the absorption capability of the article. A method includes the steps of applying the article to the oil-based fluid and absorbing the oil-based fluid. An apparatus includes the article and rollers to apply force to the article. |
