<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the nipping and provide a working suitable state having a prescribed length by arranging a spring on an operating piece and the shaft locking part of a link to constitute a four-joint rotating link mechanism in which the operating piece is moved in advance on a hook side to narrow the non-slip surfaces of both holding pieces. SOLUTION: A spring 12 is arranged on the other end shaft 10 of an operating piece 4 having a hook 13 fixed to a shaft 11 to form an inclination for moving the operating piece 4 in advance on the hook 13 side, so that a belt R between holding pieces 1, 2 is regularly nipped. A four-joint rotating link mechanism is constituted by the holding pieces 1, 2, the operating piece 4 and two links 3, 5. In the use of such an expansion and contraction regulator, the hook 13 is engagingly locked by a ring on the left side of the waist, and the belt R between the holding pieces 1, 2 is extended in the direction B, and connected to a ring on the right side of the waist around a pole to support a body to the pole in U-shape.
