<p>Heteroaromatic compounds functionalized for nonlinear optical material applications and represented by general formulae (1) to (4), polymers of the compounds, optics produced from the polymers, optical devices equipped with the optics, and a process for preparing the same. In the formulae, Ar?1, Ar2 and Ar3¿ each independently represents an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic group; R?1, R2 and R3¿ each independently represents hydrogen or a monovalent organic group; X represents a monovalent organic group; Y represents hydrogen or a monovalent functional group; and n is an integer of 2 to 10.</p> |
