<p>The invention relates to pharmaceutical combinations containing capsaicin agonists with capsaicin antagonists for desensitization of vanilloid-responsive cells (a delta) and c-fiber sensory afferent neurons, and for increasing the therapeutic index of capsaicin agonists. Said combinations may contain for example compounds of formula (II) such as tinyatoxin or resiniferatoxin or compounds of formula (I) (as capsaicin agonists) together with capsazepin or other capsaicin antagonists of formula (III).</p> |
