Domestic appliance, in particular dishwasher, comprising an ornamentation element on the upper part of its front face. To impart to the ornamentation element an appearance which is in harmony with that of the surrounding furniture, one or more slats 9, 10 are fastened to the ornamentation element by means of at least one plastic pin 11 which passes through openings 13 in the slats in the vertical direction. The body 12 of the pin is held by tightening in a hole 15 of the ornamentation element 8 and the head 14 of the pin is applied against the inside of the lower slat 10.
