<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to drive in safety while confirming a desired destination by selecting data outputted through registers according to a variety of menus while storing information containing desired map data on a CD-ROM. SOLUTION: Map data stored on the CD-ROM 6 are classified by a variety of menus, which are set in many registers 7 to 7n to make it possible to select only map data of a corresponding menu out of map data read out of a CD-ROM driver 5. Therefore, when the driver selects a map display mode while driving a vehicle, a microprocessor 2 having received information on the menu that the user desires drives one of the registers 7 to 7n selectively, receives only transmitted map data corresponding to the selected menu, and displays only the map that the user desires.</p> |
