PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipoint range finder for a camera having the optimum combination of a range finding accuracy and a range finding extent as the whole range finder, without making the range finder large in size. SOLUTION: The multipoint range finder is provided with at least a 1st projecting means 47 equipped with a projecting body for projecting light in the optical axis direction of a photographic lens, a photoelectric conversion means 49 arranged with leaving a base length from the 1st projecting means, a 2nd projecting means 48 arranged between the photoelectric conversion means and the 1st projecting means and equipped with a projecting body for projecting light in a direction other than the optical axis, and a distance deciding means for deciding the object distance by receiving the light reflected by the object after being projected by at least one of the 1st and 2nd projecting means through the photoelectric conversion means. |
