PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stable results of analysis for a long period by preventing the occurrence of a meniscus on the surface of a glass bead so that the surface can be irradiated with X rays. SOLUTION: When a glass bead is prepared as a sample for fluorescent X-ray analysis by melting a raw material composed of a power sample of iron ore, slag, smoke dust, etc., a vitrifying agent, and a peeling agent in a platinum crucible 4 by induction heating and cooling and solidifying the melt, a lid 1 is put on the raw material charging opening A of the crucible 4 at least during the heating time. At the time of heating the raw material, the material is heated while the temperature in the crucible 4 is maintained so that the peripheral part and central part of the raw material can be maintained within the range of 1,000-1,050 deg.C.
|
