<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the motion detection circuit that detects a motion more surely at a high speed. SOLUTION: A subtractor 208 obtains the difference between pixels of current image data and reference image data, and a multiplier squares the difference and it is accumulated by an adder 210 and a register 219, then the usual motion detection evaluation value ME is obtained. On the other hand, the current image data are accumulated by an adder 201 and a register 202 and the reference image data are accumulated by an adder 203 and a register 204 and a difference of the total sums is obtained by a subtractor 205, the result is squared by a multiplier 206 and the result is divided by number (n) of elements at a divider 207. Then a subtractor 220 is used to subtract the quotient of the divider 207 from an evaluation value ME being an output of a register 219 to obtain a motion detection evaluation value MEAC that uses only the AC component.</p> |
