The object of the present invention is to provide a mobile communication technique, whereby radio communication is performed between a mobile communication terminal, such as a paper (a selective calling system), a portable radio device, a telephone or a cordless telephone, and a base station that provides a service for the mobile communication terminal, that locally limits or inhibits the operation of a mobile communication terminal, such as the transmission and reception of calls. A communication system comprises: a control signal generator for generating and transmitting a control signal to inhibit or limit the operation of a mobile communication terminal; and a mobile communication terminal, which includes a receiver for receiving a control signal, a controller for employing a received control signal to control the operation of the mobile communication terminal, and a display device for employing a display or an audible signal to inform a user of the state of the mobile communication terminal. |
