<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device which suppresses deterioration in image quality that is caused by the reproduction disability of a detailed area even when an error occurs in the head address of the detailed area of a memory circuit which is added to a sink block that records a basic area of the memory circuit. SOLUTION: At the time of recording, video digital data is reduced by a compressing circuit 1, and the compressed data is divided and stored into a basic area and a detailed area in a memory circuit 2. Although a format control 3 successively reads the basic area of the circuit 2 to meet the data unit of a sink block of a recording format according to the setting of a microcomputer 11, the control 3 simultaneously records the head address (VA) on memory of the detailed area that corresponds to the basic area and divides and packs it in two places of the sink block. At the time of reproduction, even if an error occurs in one of the VAs which are divided into two places of a different sink block and recorded, the detailed area is reproduced by using the other VA that does not have an error.</p> |
