PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of a connector as a product. SOLUTION: An auxiliary plate 7 is formed into a predetermined broad shape, and support legs inserted into a printed board are provided on a shield cover 6 and in four positions, corresponding to the corner positions of a rectangle, so that a socket rests well on the printed board for a stably supported state. A projection 27 is formed on the lower surface of the auxiliary plate 7, so that flux generated when a terminal part 1 is soldered to the printed board is prevented from collecting between the lower surface of the auxiliary plate 7 and the printed board. A guide projection 29 is formed on the lower surface of the auxiliary plate 7 to effectively position and guide the terminal part 1 and the support legs, when they are inserted into the printed board. A raised piece 18d that makes contact with the upper surface of the auxiliary plate 7 is formed in a plate spring 18, to prevent lowering of the plate spring 18 and to allow a mating connector (plug) to be inserted smoothly. |
