<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor which comprises a conductive polymer used to detect a volatile compound, in a gas phase, existing at a concentration of about 500ppm or lower in the ambient air, which is small and low-cost and whose sensitivity is high. SOLUTION: A sensor 10 is provided with one pair of conductive electrodes 14a, 14b which are installed on a dielectric board 12 and with a conductive polymer 16 which is installed so as to cover one electrode out of them. At this time, in order to convert the conductive polymer 16 into a charged state from a neutral state, it is doped with excessive dopants which are more than those required stoichiometrically.</p> |
