PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the IC memory card which can encode and/or decode data. SOLUTION: The IC memory card 1 having an interface part 3 based upon PC card standards and a memory part 4 which stores data is equipped with a password matching circuit 5 which matches a password inputted from a host system device 2 against a specific comparison password and outputs the matching result and a data decoding circuit 6 which decodes data read out of the memory part according to the matching result outputted from the password matching circuit part 5. The data decoding circuit 6 decodes the data read out of the memory part 4 when the matching result of the password matching circuit part 5 indicates a match and does not decode the data read out of the memory part 4 when not. |
