Balloon-type weir for water-course

The cloth (14) is secured to the water-course bottom (2) near two edges running in the transverse direction of the latter. A medium delivered under the cloth moves it from a position resting on the bottom into one protruding above water level. The cloth is equipped with a large number of hoses (18) running at right angles to the water-course. A medium is fed to or discharged from the hoses. It can be in two layers (15, 16) one above the other, and which are stuck together along transverse lines (18). Gauges can be provided to measure the pressure in each of the hoses. The transverse cloth edge can be joined to the lengthwise one of an oblong plate-type flexible connecting component. Another lengthwise edge of the component is joined to the water-course bottom.
