<p>The portable signalling device is for use by cyclists and motorcyclists, enabling them to indicate to other road users their intention to change direction. It comprises a flashing lamp (c) with an electric power supply, accommodated in a housing (a) with straps for attachment to a part of the body, typically the arm. A switch for the lamp supply circuit is positioned so that it can be actuated without using the hands. The lamp comprises a bulb accommodated inside a translucent hemispherical housing (b) which forms the outer face of the main housing (a). There may be two clip blades fitting round the user's arm, the switch being of the pushbutton type, mounted on one of them.</p> |
