<p>Enveloping a unitary block of a cold-formable, suspension polymerized, pressure-sensitive, acrylate adhesive weighing at least 5 kg within a melt-blendable thermoplastic film. The adhesive is packaged without heating the adhesive block, without actively cooling the thermoplastic film, and without contributing to the thermal or mechanical history of the adhesive. The film covered adhesive block is placed within a rigid container for controlling deformation of the adhesive block caused by the normal creep and cold flow associated with suspension polymerized pressure-sensitive acrylate adhesives under ambient conditions.</p> |
