VASECTOMY AID

A vasectomy aid (1) comprising a clamp (7) for holding both part of a scrotum and at least one vas deferens in position ready for surgery and a needle arm (9) swingably engageable with the clamp (7) wherein the needle arm (9) comprises either a needle block (80) or a syringe holding portion for holding at least one syringe. The neddle arm (9) comprises a spring loaded guard (27) for preventing accidental contamination of needle tips (29) of any syringes positioned within the needle arm (9). The clamp (7) comprises both a base piece (3) and a worktable piece (5) wherein the relative pivoting movement of the base piece (3) and worktable piece (5) is resisted by a spring (43). The worktable piece (5) has a protruding working platform (59) about which the scrotum and the at least one vas deferens can be positioned prior to closing the clamp (7) onto the scrotum and vas deferens.
