The invention concerns a hose-type covering comprising a casing (10) which is made from plastics foil and has longitudinal closure parts (11, 12) which can be pressed one into the other in order to close the casing. The central region of the casing (10) is provided with transverse deformations (17) which give the casing a fluted structure and terminate at a distance in front of the closure parts (11, 12). As a result thereof, the hose-like covering is highly flexible.
