<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly comfortably control forward and backward travel motions of a vehicle by setting a forward travel motion mode and an operation mode as a travel operation mode, in a device formed in such a constitution that acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle are carried out by forward and backward operations of an operation element held by an operator. SOLUTION: An operation element 2 which is freely operated by hands of a user is arranged around an axial line 3 freely to operate, and for example, a switch push button 4 which is freely operated by thumb of hand for holding the operation element is arranged on the operation element 2 for switching during a running travel motion mode. Travel motion for accelerating a vehicle is interposed by positive deflection Av of the operation element 2 toward vehicular forward direction, and travel operation for decelerating the vehicle is interposed by a deflection Ah of the operation element 2 toward a vehicular backward direction. In a vehicle operation mode, the deflection of the operation element 2 from a dead position Ao is constituted in such a way that the operation element 2 is held in a brake stop condition as long as the deflection does not exceed a prescribed range around the dead position Ao.</p> |
