PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid composition for the oral cavity, with formation of precipitated controlled when preserved at high temperature for extended periods, good in survival rate of dextranase, and excellent in temporal stability and appearance. SOLUTION: The composition contains dextrabase but no abrasive, and is incorporated with at least one type of water-soluble high-molecular-weight compound selected from the group consisting of an alkali metal salt of carboxymethyl cellulose having a degree of etherification of 1 or lower and degree of polymerization of 700 or lower,κ-carrageenan,ι-car, ageenan and hydroxyethyl cellulose.
