PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defecation treating agent capable of solidifying night soil to the extent of making the night soil easy to handle and suppressing the generation of malodorous gases even when the night soil is rested for a long time. SOLUTION: This defecation treating agent contains wooden powder, sterilizing and deodorizing agents and a solidifying agent, in which >=80% of the wooden powder has a grain size of 0.15 to 0.80mm. The sterilizing and deodorizing agents which are capable of suppressing the malodorous gases generated when microorganisms decompose the night soil by suppressing the propagation of the microorganisms, such as bacteria, in the night soil, are selected. More particularly, 2-bromo-2-nitropropane-1, 3-diol having a high sterilization effect is used. |
