The clamp comprises a housing (3) which contains the steering column and is positioned on an attachment fixed to the bodywork of the vehicle. At least one pair of contact surfaces consists of at least one contact surface on the steering column housing, and a corresponding contact surface on the bodywork attachment. A control (12) presses together the contact-pairs (4) and has a deflection mechanism (14) in the form of system of levers (16,17), and a pulley (15) in the form of a Bowden wire (20) and spring (19). |
