PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a phase of a rotated body with respect to a rotor by rotating a rotated body by a rotor via an ultrasonic motor and controlling a rotation of the ultrasonic motor. SOLUTION: A stator 7 and a rotor 8 of an ultrasonic motor 5 connect a timing pulley 4 to a cam shaft 1. The timing pulley 4 rotates the cam shaft 1 through the ultrasonic motor 5. Driving the ultrasonic motor 5 rotates the rotor 8 with respect to the stator 7, so that a phase of the cam shaft 1 with respect to the timing pulley 4 is varied.
